ABOUT THE REMARCABLE FOUNDATION
Our mission is to support organizations that service those with mobility challenges as well as individuals with disabilities and the caregivers who stand by them. We champion accessibility and inclusion by providing financial assistance, adaptive equipment, community programs, and access to essential resources.
The ReM.A.R.C.able Foundation was founded by Boston Marathon Bombing survivor Marc Fucarile. On April 15th, 2013, Marc lost his right leg above the knee from the explosion, and his left leg was also severely damaged. Marc’s strength and resilience inspired people across the country. During Marc’s road to recovery, he and his family received an outpouring of kindness and support from so many- even complete strangers who were touched by his story.
Once Marc was able, he started giving back to a wide range of nonprofit organizations by donating his time and efforts to support their missions. In 2023, Marc established The ReM.A.R.C.able Foundation to give back directly and with more impact to the mobility impaired and disability communities.
Marc's hope with the foundation is to empower and uplift individuals living with mobility impairments and disabilities, along with the caregivers who support them. United by compassion and driven by purpose, the foundation is committed to breaking barriers, building community, and creating lasting change for those who need it most.

Meet the Team

Marc Fucarile
FOUNDER
On April 15, 2013, Marc Fucarile’s life changed forever when he survived the Boston Marathon Bombing. The attack cost him his right leg above the knee and left his other leg severely damaged—a salvaged limb he fought hard to keep. Marc spent over three years in and out of hospitals, enduring countless surgeries and challenges.
During that time, Marc experienced an outpouring of kindness, generosity, and support from people across the country. Grateful for the impact it had on his recovery and his spirit, Marc made a promise to give back—knowing firsthand how much of a difference it makes when someone shows up for you in your time of need.
A proud father to his amazing son, Gavin, and a devoted husband to his incredible wife, Niki—who herself was born with no arms and legs—Marc has dedicated his life to helping others overcome their own challenges.
