Mark Hutchinson: Cerebral Palsy, MA
The ReM.A.R.C.able Foundation donated to Mark’s care. Throughout his life, his parents were his primary caregivers. Unfortunately, both of his parents have passed away, so his sister Kate is now his primary caregiver. A mom herself with a full-time job, Kate has had to pay for help during the hours she cannot be there for Mark. Due to Mark’s dedication to his job for the last 29 years, he is unfortunately not eligible for much assistance to help cover these expenses. Kate is also working towards adding to her house to give Mark his own safe living space, and to make it easier for her to care for him more hours of the day to cut down on the cost of care. Mark was the beneficiary of our Inaugural Fundraising Gala in April of 2026, where we raised money to help offset some of the cost of his care, as well as some of the costs of the construction on Kate’s home.
Stucci Family, FL
The father of this family was crushed between two cars in 2011 and suffered a traumatic brain injury. He also required 14 screws to be put in his back. Due to this, he was on full disability. However, his children were babies, so he had to take himself off disability to provide for his family. He was then forced to pay back two years of disability pay for going back to work. In 2023, he suffered a chronic strangulated hernia which required emergency surgery. During this, doctors also noticed some of his intestines were turning black, but they were not removed during that surgery. For four months, he was in chronic pain. They found that his intestines were damaged and should have been removed during that initial surgery. He then went in for another emergency surgery to remove some intestines. Two additional surgeries were needed the following year. They wanted him to have another, but his insurance declined the claim since the insurance doctor did not agree with his multiple doctors that he needed this surgery.
During this time, he lost his job and his family ended up being homeless. They stayed in a single room for a month. His doctor will not allow him to return to work and is suggesting he apply for disability. In addition to all this, he has 3 sons who are on the spectrum. Losing his job forced him to lose his insurance coverage, including his son’s coverage. They are unable to pay cash for medical visits as Florida is a no-cash state for medical services.
The ReM.A.R.C.able Foundation provided financial support to the family to assist in some of the burden they are currently facing.
Donation to Disabled American Veterans
DAV is an incredible organization that provides countless forms of support to veterans. Some examples of their support include ensuring veterans and their families can access the benefits they have earned, advocating for veterans, and connecting veterans with meaningful employment. They also plan events for veterans to connect with one another. Marc was invited to join their DAV Bowl in San Francisco in February, and he was able to see firsthand the impact they make. The ReM.A.R.C.able Foundation made a sizable donation to DAV to support their events to connect more veterans with this experience.
EnableGear
This company was started by a wheelchair user, who found the need for a bag for her wheelchair that didn’t spill out her belongings, and was also more accessible than a bag on the back of the chair that is hard to reach. She created the Wheelbag, which is a huge help to the individual in the chair, making their belongings more easily accessible to them. Marc met Janele at the Abilities Expo in 2025 and fell in love with the product she created. The ReM.A.R.C.able Foundation was able to partner with EnableGear to purchase a bulk order of Wheelbags with our logo on them. In addition to supporting Janele’s business, we also gave away these Wheelbags to individuals at the Abilities Expos we attended. This was a great opportunity for us to not only support a wheelchair user-owned business, but also to provide other wheelchair users with this product at no cost to them.
Gala Sponsor, Brandon's House Counceling Center
Brandon’s House is an outpatient agency that offers free, professional counseling services to teens and their families in the Kentuckiana region. They offer both Individual and Family Therapy options for their clients. Focuses of therapy may include teenage depression, anxiety, self-harm, self-esteem, peer relationships, bullying, family dynamics, career counseling, addiction, and many other sources of psychological distress. Group Therapy is also offered periodically for depression, stress management, self-esteem, and anger management.

Their support went far beyond financial contributions and became a true source of guidance and stability for our organization. The team consistently made themselves available to me, often taking phone calls that lasted up to two hours, patiently listening and helping me work through challenges as they arose. Marc and The ReM.A.R.C.able Foundation also opened doors by connecting me with new people, identifying valuable resources, and creating opportunities for meaningful collaboration. Their belief in our mission and their willingness to walk alongside us made a lasting impact that cannot be measured in dollars alone.

LJ Shurpik Concord, NH, 33
I was born with, at the time, a very rare birth defect. I was missing bones in my right foot and leg. When I was one year old they amputated my foot so I could be fitted with a prosthetic. When I was 7, it became clear my right leg was not growing as fast as my left and we did a lengthening surgery. This lead to 100 more surgeries and procedures. When I was 10, my knee collapsed and we decided to amputate above my knee. Besides a scar revision I have been surgery free since that final amputation on my leg. I live a very active life working as a medical biller and at a distillery as a tasting room hostess. I have found healing through athletic endeavors, be it mountain climbing, CrossFit, or skiing. Since working with a nonprofit photographing their marathon team I have wanted to handcycle marathons, but have had no access to the equipment I needed. Through the help of the ReM.A.R.C.able Foundation, I now have my own handcycle and will be able to take my training to the next level and participate in the NYC Marathon this November and hopefully many more races in the future. I am beyond thankful for this assistance and making this long term goal come true!
Monique Mono Ski, Purchased for Granite State Adaptive Sports
The ReM.A.R.C.able Foundation was happy to purchase this Mono Ski for the Granite State Adaptive program at King Pine Ski Resort in Madison, New Hampshire. This will allow the program to serve their adaptive athletes. This piece of equipment is adjustable to enable service to many of their community members for many years to come.
Donation to Onward Motion Helps
Marc, on behalf of The ReM.A.R.C.able Foundation, presented a $4,000 check to Onward Motion Helps, a disability-led movement fueled by creativity, courage, and community.
